Bird Shits on Google Maps

-December 6th, 2009 by Scott

"What's that in the sky!? It's a bird! It's a plane!"—no, no. You had it right the first time.

I was playing around on Google Maps Street View as I do from time to time; or as I call it, "the poor man's vacation". This time I was visiting fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada! I'm sorry, I mean't, beautiful Los Angeles, California! I was walking down Hollywood Blvd. I abbrieviate because I can't spell 'buele-', 'beula-', I can't spell 'Blvd'. Also, when I say walking, I mean clicking. Don't cry for me, I know it's sad. Back to the point, I noticed something at the corner of North Hudson Ave.

Is it space craft? Is it a giant ball of ectoplasm like in Ghostbusters? No, it's filthy, seedy bird shit. I actually tried to track down it's point of origin, clicking around for a block or so. I hoped to find the bird, the impact, or some damn trace of mystery solving material. Instead, it simply is, then is not. Ultimately, these images are all you get, but they're spellbindingly good. Note the ropey blast radius on this sucker. That bird is either an artist, or very sick:
